We are pleased to announce that the first peer-reviewed journal specialising
in research related to the behaviour of structures in fire will be published
from the beginning of 2010. The Editor-in-Chief is Professor Faris Ali of
the Fire Safety Engineering Research & Technology Centre, (FireSERT),
University of Ulster, UK (f.ali@ulster.ac.uk) and the journal will be published
quarterly by Multi-Science Publishing Co Ltd (www.multi-science.co.uk).
The objective of the Journal is to report the state-of-the art and state of the practice on behavior of structures subjected to high temperatures including fire. The Journal will also bring the experimental and theoretical research and findings from advances in performance of structures in fire to engineering solutions and to assist in improving the fire safety of buildings by linking the scientific research in structural fire engineering with fire protection and by improving buildings fire codes, and fire design standards.
The Editor-in-Chief welcomes submissions on the following topics: numerical modelling; practical applications; simple calculation models; experimental studies; material behaviour at high temperatures; validation; case studies; codes of practice and design; analysis of whole structure behaviour. The journal will cover all structural materials including steel, concrete, masonry, timber and aluminium.
Prospective authors should send 3 copies of their paper, by
